Carnegie Science Center is one of the four Carnegie Museums of Pittsburgh. Since opening its doors in 1991, Carnegie Science Center has been an institution of singular importance, providing access to exceptional informal science education and offering transformative experiences for children and adults alike. In addition to providing valuable scientific experiences, Carnegie Science Center engages in outreach programs that serve Pittsburgh's diverse community. The Science Center is located on Pittsburgh's North Shore along the banks of the Ohio River and is accessible to persons with disabilities.
***REQUESTS REQUIRE AT LEAST THREE WEEKS’ NOTICE***
You must include an alternate date on your request to be considered for tickets. Any request submitted without an alternate date will automatically be denied. Please make sure both your preferred date and alternate date are days you are certain your group is able to attend. We will not know if your request is approved, or for which date, until we have confirmed with the Science Center.
• Minimum group size is 10 children. Maximum group size is 50 (45 kids and 5 adults)
• The required adult to child ratio is 1:10, and the adults must be 18+
• All adults not included in this ratio will be required to pay $10 on weekdays and $13 on weekends. One form of payment will be accepted upon arrival. If approved, the agency main contact and the chaperone will be provided with additional information regarding payment.
When completing your request, you must indicate if your group will be bringing bagged lunches, eating at the café, or not eating at the Science Center. Groups should plan approximately 4 hours for their visit.
When placing a request, you must provide the head chaperone’s email address. If approved, the Science Center will email both you and the head chaperone with additional information prior to your trip.
Admission covers:
• General admission to the Carnegie Science Center, including SportsWorks, USS Requin submarine (seasonal hours).
• Not included in TFK Tickets - Rangos Giant Cinema, Special Exhibitions, Demonstration Theaters or Buhl Planetarium. Approved groups will be provided with an opportunity to purchase these tickets.

• December 25th – January 5th
• Steelers games: November 17th and December 8th, and January 5th, 2025

Parking
***Agency is responsible for parking. School and coach buses park at no cost. All other vehicles park at a rate of $6/vehicle (this includes vans, shuttles, cars, etc.)*** |
