The mission of the Black History Museum is to enrich the lives of Alexandria’s residents and visitors, to foster tolerance and understanding among all cultures and to stimulate appreciate of the diversity of the African American experience.

• Requests must be submitted one week in advance.

Museum Hours:
Thursday 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Friday 11 a.m. - 4 p.m.
Saturday 11 a.m. – 5 p.m.
Sunday 1 p.m. – 5 p.m.
Ticket Delivery Method:
Letter Of Admission (Standard) - Head chaperone must present photo ID & Letter of Admission to venue will call/box office/admissions desk at time of event. All changes must be made 48 business hours or 2 business days prior to the event.
